I burned my hand when I was cooking NIKKOROGASHI after my English class. I was boiling meat and potato in a pan. I didn’t notice the other empty pan placed next to the boiling pan was also heating and the handle of the pan was burning.

When I touched the handle of the empty pan to pick it up, I heard, "Hiss-ss-ss-ss."
That’s the sound of burning my hand. Right away I put my hand in the running water to make it cool. I felt severe pain and it was getting worse and worse. After cooling down for a while I put some ointment and covered with cooling sheet. Now the pain went away but I had a few blisters.

This burn reminded me old burn in my hand.

I was a junior high school student. That happened when we had one night camp and just finished cooking curry. I tried to serve the curry to paper plates. The plates were too shallow to serve curry and I spilt it over my hand. The worst thing was that I tried to hold the hot curry plate still not to spill more. That was too hot!
When I ran cold water on my hand it was too late. We had a campfire and dance time but of course, I didn’t feel like dancing. Actually the pain beat me. That night I couldn’t sleep a wink because of the severe pain. I got a huge blister like a water balloon.

Next morning when we were cleaning the place, I head the unforgettable comment by my teacher.
“Your burn looks so crimp. You had better take it off!"
I couldn’t forget her heartless comment.

Anyway I am relieved this blister is a slight one.
